Tomaž Rotar, MSc, DMD, was born in Kranj on 6 March 1972. Tomaž went to primary school in Radovljica and later studied in the general upper secondary school of natural sciences in Jesenice. After completing secondary school he enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana to study dental medicine. He graduated in 1997 with an average grade of 9.1. After graduation he decided to continue his education to get a Master’s degree and got a teaching position at the Faculty of Medicine. He received his Master’s degree in 2000. Since then Tomaž has been running his private practice in Radovljica, which has two separate offices. In the last five years he has made great progress in implantology and was awarded the title of international instructor of implantology by the International Implantology Education Centre (Ger. IFZI). He now lives in Lesce in Gorenjska, and is married and has two daughters. He has always remained loyal to mountaineering and has climbed some of the most prominent peaks around the globe.
